Are you ready for your next opportunity? Can you make good decisions?
by Jacquie Wise
One has many ‘opportunities’ that come knocking, how do you discriminate as when to take them and when not?
My tendency is to think carefully most of the time (evaluate) before accepting or going with it. Till now, I have trusted this thinking process. Do you think I should just trial saying ‘’Yes” for the next while and see what results and over-ride the thinking process?
The trick about the right opportunity is that it can be rare and you often have to act quickly. If you spend too much evaluating, it can be too late. Trust that the universe will send you exactly what you need when you need it. How can you trust? Put it to the test and see.
I used to be a very uncertain decision-maker, often going around in tedious circles. From observing people I admired, I noticed they were able to jump at opportunities without hesitation. In the end, I worked up the courage to ask a few of them how they were able to decide so quickly.
The answers were pretty much the same: ‘It’s easy! It either fits with what you want, or it doesn’t.’
I had a huge ‘aha’ moment. That’s it!
Know what you want first, work out in your mind the steps you need to take to get what you want (perhaps in stages to allow you to build confidence).
When an opportunity comes up, you’ll recognize whether it takes you closer to where you’re going, or whether it takes you in a completely different direction.
Those can be useful too, but that’s for another blog article.
The universe can move spectacularly fast once you shift your thinking and choose what you want in your life. Even before you realize you’ve shifted, opportunities begin to come your way.
It takes three seconds to recognise
(not to decide, but to recognise)
that the opportunity is moving you in the direction you want.
Each opportunity may be sent to you to allow you to build confidence, expand your knowledge, experience or contacts, and get you closer to your end goal. So don’t discount one just because it’s not ideal. Yet.
Evaluating the pros and cons can be useful if the opportunity involves a huge, long-term commitment.
It pays to be aware though, that your emotions do play a part in your decision-making. You can easily talk yourself out of something if you don’t feel ready.
In any case, evaluating the pros and cons still needs you to know where you want to go and what you need to get there. Bingo.
The opportunity will be a match, or it will offer you something surprising to get you out of a rut.
Once you learn to work with the Law of Manifestation, you’ll see amazing movement in your life.
All you have to do is decide what you want for now (it can change, that’s ok) and ask for help, whether it is to God or to your Guides, or to no one in particular. Do what you can to make yourself ready, then see what happens. Just be ready.
