How do I stay motivated?
Using the word 'YET' helps me stay motivated
You know those dreams you get in which you are running and running and never get anywhere? This is what my life has felt like lately.
At those times, it is easy to lose confidence and feel defeated. So how do I stay motivated?
One little word that has helped me is the word ‘YET.’ Just look at the difference that little word can make if you add it to defeatist statements. For example, instead of saying ‘I can’t do this,’ say ‘I can’t do this YET.’
Instead of telling yourself ‘I haven’t got what it takes,’ say ‘I haven’t got what it takes yet’ or ‘I don’t know how yet’ or ‘I don’t have the confidence yet.’
I find that little word encourages me to keep going and stay motivated because it reminds me that, with a bit more time and effort, I will get there. Just not yet.

I will get there. Just not yet.
